Okay, so it’s been a bit. Last week I went home to visit the fam, and since then I’ve been preparing for a certification exam. So unfortunately I haven’t been able to get much work done on the game in that time. However, before I started this little break, I had run into an issue of optimization…
So this week I finally got to start working on the first boss fight…
Hey all. Nearing completion of the first three levels. Thinking about making a demo. Only problem is, is that there’s supposed to be cut scenes. And since everything I’m doing already takes up the majority of my intellectual capacity, I was thinking about saving cut scenes till the end. Hard to say or know what to do right now. What say you?
I know it’s not Saturday, but frankly, I don’t give a damn.
What’s up party people? Just got back from a homely visit to the fam and friends and boy was it nice to not think about anything for a couple days. It was a good trip and my batteries are recharged!
At the moment, I’m spending most of my time on level development but have taken a few breaks here and there to work on other things like SFX and tweaking some scripts. All in all, things are coming along. I’m hoping to make a demo of the first 3 levels for people to try out. If you’re interested, say so! Otherwise I might just continue pushing on. Anywho, thanks for checking in! Here, have a screen shot:
I know it’s been a minute since I last posted any content updates but I can assure you that I have been working feverishly! Continue reading
Just checking in to let you know that development is still underway. Right now I’m just getting some level design done and working on some of the mechanics for the first stage. So not much pretty stuff to show but it’s looking promising. Definitely a little rusty after the break but I’m getting back into it. Anyway… see you next time.
Hey guys, I know it’s been a while, but I took a little break to work on a small side project that I’ve been thinking about for a while now. I occasionally play Magic: The Gathering but almost always forget to bring a life counter (20 sided die). I always have my phone though so I figured I’d just make an app for it. Last time I played, I brought a rough version of the app in and got some interest from other players. So I decided to polish it up a bit and put it up on the Google Play Store. It’s free to play and any feedback would be great. Here’s the store page and a screenshot:
It was a fun exercise but now I’m ready to get back to work on Data Dream!
Hello loyal followers!
Well it’s been a busy week. Unity came out with version 5.6 which, among other things, offers a whole new and improved system for playing videos/cutscenes. Naturally, I had to upgrade… Continue reading
